GRASS CULTIVATION METHOD Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture, in particular, cultivation methods for farm crops, such as natural and sown grasses. SUBSTANCE: method involves strip drilling of seeds of legume grasses, such as clover, into mechanically disturbed sod soil and simultaneously applying fertilizers onto strips; providing care for sown crops; before or simultaneously with grass seeding, cutting equally spaced slits, which are used as guides for moving machines during care and following grass seeding to avoid "clover fatigation". Slits are cut at pitch B=bn multiple of space between strip axes. During first grass seeding, strip axes are spaced from slits by distance equal to half the width of raw spacings b/2, and during repeated grass seeding, upon expiration of clover life productivity time, i.e. 2-4 years after productive utilization of herbage, repeated seeding is provided after first seeding procedure at the same herbage. In order to avoid "clover fatigation", strips are offset with respect to slits by distance equal to width of row spacings b. In case grass cultivation is carried out on slopes, slits are cut in autumn. EFFECT: improved composition of herbage, increased grass yield and prolonged life of improved herbage of meadows and pastures. 2 cl, 1 dwg
