FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture. Method includes strip seeding of legume grasses seeds, for instance, meadow clover, into a sod cover of hayfields and pastures, application of phosphorus and potassium fertilisers and repeated strip seeding of clover to increase duration of highly efficient use of herbage. Strip seeding of clover seeds into the sod cover is carried out in winter time along meadow strips cleaned from snow simultaneously with a mill treatment of the upper sod cover layer in these strips for the depth of down to 1 cm. Phosphorus-potassium fertilisers are added evenly along the whole area of the meadow. The repeated strip seeding is carried out when the production term of the seeded clover expires, in transverse direction relative to the previous seeding to reduce effect of "clover fatigue".
EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase content of clover in improved herbages, to increase the period with high clover content, to increase total duration of highly efficient use of these herbages after the repeated seeding, to increase crop capacity and quality of fodder.
