) IN VITRO. FIELD: biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with preparing plants-donors of meristems for freezing, isolating apices and their treatment with cryoprotectors, cooling apices in cryoampullas up to extra low temperatures, keeping ampoules with meristems in liquid nitrogen and postcryogenic regeneration of plants out of meristems. Moreover, plants-donors of meristems should be hardened upon solid agar nutritive medium supplemented with 6% saccharose or glucose for 1-2 mo, and cryogenic cooling of apices is carried out at the rate of 0.30-0.33 C/min in cryoampullas filled with solution of cryoprotectors and ice. The suggested method enables to efficiently restore plants of various common garden strawberry varieties out of cryopreserved meristems after cryogenic storage. EFFECT: higher efficiency of cryopreservation. 1 dwg, 3 ex, 2 tbl
