FIELD: biotechnologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention represents an in vitro storage method of strawberry plants (Fragaria L.), which consists in the fact that plants are placed in test glasses on Murasige-Skuga nutritive medium modified by 6% of saccharose, 10-12 g/l of agar-agar, 0.2 mg/l of 6-benzyl-aminopurine, 0.1-0.5 mg/l of Paclobutrazol, 6 mM of calcium gluconate, and granules of calcium alginate with silver thiosulphate are applied onto its surface; test glasses are closed and moved to the conditions at the temperature of 1 to 10°C, 6-hour light day and illumination intensity of 0.5-0.8 klx.
EFFECT: long-term in vitro storage of collections of strawberry plants in the state of inhibited growth without any replacement of nutritive medium during two and more and allows increasing duration of storage in a viable state of 65-69 percent of strawberry plants, as well as 100 percent of clones of this culture up to two and more years and its use for scientific and industrial purposes.
