FIELD: petroleum processing and petrochemistry. SUBSTANCE: low-octane hydrocarbon feedstock is reformed in presence of contact composition consisting of zeolite-containing catalysts. Zeolites are arranged consecutively downstream of feedstock within one reactor block. Upper layer is occupied by low-modulus zeolites HA or NaM and lower layer high-modulus zeolite Mn containing 0.2% manganese. Process is carried out at 325-375 C, pressure 0.4-0.8 MPa, and volume ratio of zeolites 1:1.
