FIELD: food-processing industry: sugar and starch industry. SUBSTANCE: invention presents an installation for refining a sugar-containing solution with the help of the active charcoal. It is dealt with the food-processing industry, namely with production of sugar and starch. Installation has the following components: an adsorber, dryers for the waste washed charcoal, an electro-thermal regenerator and a hydraulic jack to transfer the regenerated charcoal into the adsorber. The electro-thermal regenerator of charcoal has two electrodes, one of which is made in the form of a fixed funnel with a charcoal means of unloading; and one more electrode, made in the form of a cone is mounted coaxially in the funnel with a capability of its vertical movement to change a value of the interelectrode space. EFFECT: the invention ensures prevention of destruction of granules of the charcoal and decrease of their loss. 2 dwg
