FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines with divided cycle. SUBSTANCE: proposed engine contains main cylinder with bypass and exhaust valves and auxiliary cylinder with intake valve. Pistons of both cylinders are coupled with crankshaft. Crank for connecting rod of auxiliary cylinder piston is arranged on crankshaft at angle relative to crank for main cylinder piston, for instance, at angle of 45o. According to invention, volume of auxiliary cylinder is twice as great as volume of main cylinder. Cam of intake valve of auxiliary cylinder is profiled so that its opening and closing takes place every half a turn of crankshaft, and bypass valve cam provides opening of bypass valve at 1/8 of a turn of crankshaft.
