FIELD: acceleration of bodies by explosion. SUBSTANCE: the multi-stage explosive accelerator has at least two explosive charges positioned in a spaced relation to each other with provision of a common axis of symmetry, means of initiation of the first of the mentioned charges, propelled body and a guide of the propelled body. Each explosive charge is made in the form of a hollow body of revolution having a base and closed at least from one side by a metal shell, each subsequent charge is positioned inside the previous one, and all the charges are installed with their bases on a plate, and the guide for the propelled body is made in the form of an opening in the plate. EFFECT: enhanced rate of acceleration of the metal body due to a smaller quantity of explosive. 12 cl, 3 dwg
