FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: high-explosive fragmentation ammunition includes housing, initiation system, external and internal explosive charges. External explosive charge has high detonation velocity D₁, and internal explosive charge has lower detonation velocity D₂. Charge hollow is made on edge of internal explosive charge. External charge is made in the form of thin conical layer at the top of which initiation system is installed with span angle α. Additional cylindrical explosive charge with detonation velocity D₃ is installed on surface of external charge. Charge hollow on edge of internal charge is made in the form of flattened cone with angle β at the bottom.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of high-explosive and fragmentation actions both in axial and radial directions.
