METHOD FOR DIFFERENTIAL EVALUATION OF PYLORIC FUNCTIONAL ACTIVITY DEGREE Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: one should carry out ultrasound scanning of longitudinal section of gastroduodenal passage. Additionally, one should conduct ultrasound scanning of cross-sectional pyloric section to detect area of cross-sectional section of pyloric lumen both in the state of maximum opening and in the state of maximum closure due to measuring the area of cross-sectional section by points taken along the contour of internal hyperechogenic layer. One should detect the index of pyloric functional activity by the following formula: I_f = 100-(S₂×100):S₁, where I_f - index of pyloric functional activity, S₁ - area of cross-sectional section of pyloric lumen at the moment of its full opening, S₂ - area of cross-sectional section of clamped pyloric lumen. At I_f = 76,4+/-1,3% one should detect disorder of pyloric functional activity degree I, at I_f = 42,8+/-2,1% - disorder of pyloric functional activity degree II, at I_f = 15,7+/-0,9% - disorder of pyloric functional activity degree III.
