FIELD: manufacture of diamond tools, namely discs for faceting diamonds. SUBSTANCE: method comprises step of polishing working surface of disc by means of bronze or lead lap; then working surface of faceting disc by means of indenter performing ultrasonic-frequency oscillations; supplying cooling and washing liquid into zone of contact of indenter with disc surface; then balancing disc and charging it with diamond powder according to well known procedures. EFFECT: improved quality of cohesion of diamond grains with disc surface, enhanced wear resistance of disc.
