FIELD: chemical and petrochemical industries. SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a method of stepwise catalytic conversion of hydrocarbon raw material, that may be used in chemical and petrochemical industries for production of synthesis gas and technical hydrogen. The method of the stepwise catalytic conversion of hydrocarbon raw material provides for its conversion at the first step over the water steam with consequent conversion of the produced products over an oxygen-containing gas. At the first step of the system the ratio of the water steam : carbon of the hydrocarbon raw material makes 8-11: 1. The process of the catalytic conversion is carried out under adiabatic conditions in three steps and between the first two steps a compression of intermediate products is excerside. The method allows to reduce consumption of the hydrocarbon raw material used as fuel, to decrease the maximum temperature of conversion at the step of use of oxygen-containing gas, to reduce dimensions and specific consumption of materials of the catalytic reactors. EFFECT: reduced consumption of hydrocarbon raw material, decrease conversion temperature and dimensions of the catalytic reactors. 1dwg
