FIELD: apparatus for filling vessels not under pressure with liquefied or solidified gases. SUBSTANCE: method involves supercooling cryogenic product before feeding thereof to provide product temperature less than product equilibrium temperature corresponding to feeding pressure; draining cryogenic product vapor; measuring vapor pressure and inner wall temperature into vessel; stopping cryogenic product vapor drainage when inner wall temperature becomes equal to cryogenic product feeding temperature; reducing pressure in vessel vapor space by spraying of additional cryogenic product portion to reduce cryogenic product pressure to value not exceeding cryogenic product feeding pressure.
