FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of vibration damping in turbomachine components and device for implementing the method. According to proposed method, in case of passive versions of vibration damping in turbomachine components exposed to high stationary deformations, converter of mechanical energy into electromagnetic energy is coupled with inner and/or outer surface of component or energy converter is introduced into component. In case of active version of vibration damping in turbomachine components, converter of mechanical energy into electromagnetic energy is coupled with inner and/or outer surface of component. Invention makes it possible to convert mechanical energy into electromagnetic energy in turbomachine components without use of active control system.
