FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines and piston machines. Proposed engine contains cylinders, pistons rigidly connected into pairs by rods, housing in which working shaft is mounted on bearings with power takeoff in middle part and provided with hole displaced through ? of piston stroke from axis of rotation of working shaft. Crankshaft is installed in hole of working shaft on bearings. Said crankshaft is provided with two opposite journals articulated through bearings with rods and located in different ends of shaft with displacement through of piston stroke from axis of crankshaft rotation and projecting from different sides beyond the limits of working shaft. According to invention, crankshaft journal are displaced in different sides, cylinders are arranged in cross-like manner and external engagement gear rim of hydraulic torque converter is used to take off power. Pump of hydraulic torque converter is connected through splines with working shaft, turbine of hydraulic torque converter is combined with its housing and power takeoff external engagement gear rim is located on housing of hydraulic torque converter.
