FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines and piston machines. Proposed engine contains cylinders with crankcase accommodating solid working shaft with two opposite holes with displacement through 1/4 of piston stroke from center of rotation of working shaft. Crankshafts are fitted in each hole from different sides of working shaft. Each crankshaft has one neck with displacement 1/4 of piston stroke from axis of crankshaft rotation, and gear is rigidly secured on said axle near displaced neck with diameter equal to 1/2 of piston stroke. Said gear is in meshing with crown gear of diameter equal to piston stroke and stationary secured coaxially with working shaft axis. Engine is furnished with torque converter engaging through splines with middle of working shaft and equipped with power takeoff gear rim, and with valve actuating mechanism including drive sprocket rigidly secured on working shaft, two rolls-sprockets secured at opposite ends of heads of engine, and gas distributing multirow chain divided in width into valve control sections with cams projecting on each section. Number of teeth of drive sprocket is half as many as number of links of gas distributing chain.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of engine in operation.
