FIELD: heat-and-mass transfer apparatuses; sprinkler components of cooling towers. SUBSTANCE: sprinkler universal sheet has flat area on its upper edge and sinusoid-shaped corrugations disposed along sheet. In additional flat area of upper edge of sheet has stiffening rib and transitional members, as well as two vertical flat side areas also provided with stiffening ribs and transitional members; horizontally positioned sinusoid-shaped corrugations are unidirectionally tilted from vertical plane and are disposed through height of universal sheet on areas and in amount of at least two on condition that height of these areas reduced to 0, that is down to formation of rising functional curve with its angles of inclination to vertical plane on areas from top downward increasing from 0 to 90 deg. at the same time maintaining width and height of all corrugations and angles in tops and valleys of corrugations in planes orthogonal to axes, will increase and form channels through sprinkler height narrowing from bottom upward which have heat-transfer chambers to pass cooled water film and cooling air stream; projections on surfaces of all areas of universal sheet are positioned horizontally and lower area of corrugations terminates either in closed or semi-closed rhombs, or in corrugated slit with parallel walls. Upper areas of universal sheet where inclination angles of corrugations to horizontal plane are small have perforated side surfaces of corrugations through height of 0.25h to 1.0 h, where h is corrugation height. Man-made roughness is provided on entire surface of sprinkler corrugated sheet. Sprinkler corrugated sheets are assembled into stiff blocks by sticking them together with aid of special adhesive; for the purpose hollow conical pins are provided on tops and in valleys of corrugations. EFFECT: enhanced maneuverability affording desired efficiency of water cooling in sprinkler, enhanced stiffness of sheets and blocks, reduced resistance of sprinkler. 4 cl, 8 dwg
