FIELD: ammunitions (cartridges) for firearm rifled and smoothbore artillery and small arms weapon. SUBSTANCE: the ammunition has a shell or bullet, case, propellant charge initiation device and a container with a propellant charge. The container is installed between the shell and the case bottom without any clearance with its wall and with a rest against its bottom or some other stop. The container is made with a perforation of the front end face wall facing the shell, in the form of a great number of longitudinally oriented through holes. The container rear end face wall is partially open for its filling with the propellant charge and for communication with the initiation device. Thickness b of the container front end face wall and diameter do of the holes of its perforation are made in relation b/d₀ within 4 to 6, optimally - 5. The container front end face wall may be made with a maximum possible coefficient of perforation according to the condition of strength of the crosspieces between its holes. Recommended is the difference in the total area of the perforation holes of the container front area of the perforation holes of the container front end face wall and the total area of the holes or windows in its rear end face wall preferably by two times, diameter d₀ should be less than the standardized minimum size of the particles of the propellant charge at a free-flowing structure of the latter.
