FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: procedure establishing yield point consists in deformation of specimen of material and in recording of force corresponding to physical yield point fixed at moment of rise of temperature of specimen of material caused by its plastic deformation. Specimens with stress concentrator symmetric with reference to central axis of specimen are chosen in the capacity of tested specimens. Temperature of specimen of material is recorded in two local sections symmetric relative to stress concentrator, moments of rise of temperature in these sections are compared and if they match decision is made on effort corresponding to yield point at moment of simultaneous rise of temperature in two sections of specimen. If moments of rise of temperature in two local sections of measurement do not match specimen is being reinstalled till moments of rise of temperature in sections match. EFFECT: increased accuracy of establishment of yield point in process of test of specimens with stress concentrator symmetric with regard to central axis of specimen. 1 dwg
