FIELD: determination of energy distribution of beamed neutron radiation in range of energies of neutrons from thermal to fast. SUBSTANCE: aid includes single block incorporating neutron moderator, families of thermal and slow neutron detectors and electric pulse counters per each family of detectors. Each family of detectors is located inside moderator unit at distance from frontal surface equal to medium length of moderation of neutrons of given recorded energy family. Neutron detectors are positioned in plane of each family at distance of the order of length of relaxation of slow neutrons or less in material of moderator. Detectors of each family are so placed with reference to detectors of adjacent families that overlapping of geometrical projections of detectors of neighboring families on to plane perpendicular to direction of radiation is minimal. Aid is surrounded on all sides except frontal with layer of material moderating and absorbing neutrons.
