FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technical physics. Device for neutron spectrometry consists of hydrogen-containing retarders of fast neutrons of cylindrical shape, recorders of heat and slow neutrons, arranged along central axis of device, boron filter and cylindrical recesses on end surface of decelerator facing to source of radiation, neutron activation is used in detectors recorders cadmium jacket and without jacket, which are arranged in container in pairs at distances not larger than diffusion length of slow neutrons in decelerator and cylindrical cavities are filled with inserts, container and inserts are made from material of retarder.
EFFECT: technical result is measurement of energy spectrum of neutrons directed flow in a wide energy range at high levels associated gamma-radiation.
