FIELD: cigarette industry. SUBSTANCE: cigarette-making line has cigarette- making machine for manufacture of cigarette rods of double length, filter assembling machine for joining of filters to cigarette rods and obtaining of cigarettes with filters, and transfer device for transfer of cigarette rods of double length from cigarette-making machine onto filter assembling machine. Filter assembling machine and cigarette-making machine are equipped with monitoring device for monitoring and/or altering of parameters of said machines or characteristics of cigarettes. Motion controlling unit controls multiplicity of engines to provide for synchronized operation thereof. Personal computer-based controller is adapted for controlling of motion controlling unit and devices of filter assembling and cigarette-making machines, and is communicated with man-machine interface. Apparatus and controller are connected by busbar. Man-machine interface, personal computer and motion controlling unit are connected to system controller through communication channels thereof or busbar.
