FIELD: tobacco industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a process of assembly of a smoking product and corresponding equipment. Modular plant for assembly of a smoking product has the possibility of execution of the first sequence of operations over received sections of the smoking material rod and made with possibility to change configuration for execution of the second sequence of operations over received sections of the smoking material rod, different from the first sequence, the first and second sequences of operations accordingly form at least a part of the first and the second processes of assembly of smoking products each of which comprises a section of the smoking material rod smoked out in use, the modular unit contains the first device of stick attachment made to insert the first stick between two sections of tobacco rod forming machine, the first stick division device made with possibility of division of the first stick into at least two parts, device for separation of sticks made with possibility of separation of the first group containing a section of the smoking material rod and one of said parts from the second group containing a section of the smoking material rod and the other of said parts, and the second device for attachment of sticks to put the second stick between the first and the second groups.

EFFECT: technical effect consists in creation of variable configuration in terms of simple making changes to the finished installation by user (not only during its making by manufacturer) applicable for a wide range of various assembly operations relative to complex smoking products having composite filter, not developing and not making each time special-purpose machine or without significant capital modifications of initial machine.
