FIELD: plastic metal working, possibly cutting strip materials in continuous aggregates such as aggregates for hot galvanizing, etching strip, annealing units. SUBSTANCE: shears include two rests mutually joined by common drive shaft and mounted on plate that may move along guides. Each rest includes base with rotary body carrying two pairs of cutter shafts, lower and upper, mounted symmetrically relative to rotation axis. In lower shafts (symmetrically relative to rotation axis of body) cylindrical gear wheels are mounted with possibility of alternatively engaging with pinion of drive shaft. Gear wheels of cutter shafts and pinion of drive shaft have circular teeth; curvature radius of teeth is equal to spacing between rotation axis of wheel of lower cutter shaft and rotation axis of body of rest relative to base. Distances between rotation axis of body and rotation axes of drive and lower cutter shafts are the same. EFFECT: improved design due to elimination of separate complex units and due to realization of their functions by means of other units. 2 cl, 6 dwg
