FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power supply of electric vehicles. According to proposed method, charging of storage batteries by auxiliary supply source and by dynamic braking is reduced in value when storage battery state is between partially charged and fully charged states at value of charging current depending on relative state of charge of storage battery. Deficiency in supply of traction motor and electric energy available from auxiliary supply source is compensated by storage battery in amount depending of stage of battery. Complete compensation of deficiency can be provided when batteries are almost fully charged. When batteries are nearly discharged or completely discharged, small amount of energy can be provided or no supply is ensured. Amount of energy provided by batteries at between fully charged state and almost completely discharged state monotonously depends on state of battery charge. Charging of storage batteries from auxiliary source is decreased at dynamic braking when batteries are in near fully charged state. Control over amount of energy returned in process of dynamic braking can be provided by control of transformation of efficiency of traction motor operating as generator. EFFECT: provision of control of electric vehicle with possibility of coordinating its operation with operation of conventional vehicle powered by internal combustion engine. 3 cl, 10 dwg
