FIELD: materials handling facilities. SUBSTANCE: proposed hand truck has support frame rigidly coupled with load- carrying platform including support members mounted longitudinal at side from below, and running wheels on axle. Stop members are made like in form of articulated multiple-link mechanisms intercoupled in cross plane by tops through axle and hinge-connected on axles of load- carrying platform and support frame for turning in longitudinal vertical plane and shifting along horizontal. Running wheels are mounted on tops of articulated multiple-link mechanisms, forming, together with hinge links of like stop members, a rigid frame in cross vertical plane with possibility of turning and fixing the frame by lock mechanism in intermediate positions in longitudinal vertical plane. Lock mechanism mounted coaxially to axle of hinge fastening is made in form of jaw clutch consisting of fixed and movable clutch members. Fixed clutch member is rigidly secured in place of connection of support frame with load-carrying platform. Movable clutch member is spring-loaded by compression spring thrusting by its end against limiting washer rigidly secured on axle of hinge-fastening for axial displacement and interaction with fixed clutch member. Cross section of axle of hinge fastening and axial hole of movable clutch member in place of axial displacement of the latter and interaction with fixed clutch member are made non-round.
