FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport, namely, to wheel pairs intended for use on roads with different gauge. Wheel pair comprises mechanism for changing track width and drive of this mechanism with automatic control elements. Wheels are equipped with individual semi-axles. On the free ends of the semi-axles the right and left threads are made, the ends are connected by a coupling which is equipped with a brake. Wheels are installed on hollow additional half-axles, axles are spring-loaded. Moving contacts are installed on additional semi-axles. Gear change mechanism comprises coupling, brake and cylinder. Cylinder is connected to pneumatic car main line via two-way three-position switch. Switch is controlled depending on the movable contacts position.
EFFECT: enabling automation of the braking device drive depending on track width without human factor participation.
