FIELD: medicine, diagnostics. SUBSTANCE: in patient's blood serum 1-12 d after thermal trauma one should detect the content of urea, creatinine, sodium, albumin and total cholesterol and, also, the activity of aspartate aminotransferase (AST) to express these obtained values as coefficients in relative units and calculate integral value of hepatorenal failure (IVHRF) and at its value equal to 5.7 U and higher one should diagnose severe degree of hepatorenal failure at possible unfavorable result, and at its value being below 5.7 U - hepatorenal failure of light or average severity degree.
