METHOD FOR DIAGNOSIS OF RENAL DAMAGE IN SYSTEMIC LUPUS ERYTHEMATOSUS Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G01N33/48

Abstract RU 2677325 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to rheumatology, and can be used to diagnose kidney damage in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). To do this, simultaneously determine the level of antibodies to xanthine oxidase (anti-KO) in the serum and calculate the coefficient of KO/CDG (xanthine oxidase activity/xanthine dehydrogenase activity). If the upper limit of the level of anti-KO content in the blood serum is exceeded two or more times and the coefficient of KO/CDG is increased by more than 1.5, the presence of signs of kidney damage in patients with SLE is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method allows to increase the accuracy of diagnosis of kidney damage in patients with SLE at early stages of development of the pathological process, that expands the possibilities of timely detection of a category of patients with a high risk of developing renal failure with the possibility of timely prescribing immunosuppressive therapy while improving the quality of life of patients.
