METHOD AND COMBINE FOR STOCKING AND PACKING OF SLIGHTLY CURED FEEDS IN PLASTIC CONTAINERS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, animal feed production. SUBSTANCE: method involves mowing fodder crops into windrows; picking up windrows and providing preliminary grinding thereof; feeding preliminarily ground mass by means of screw for additional grinding; squeezing additionally ground mass into hose and binding it with twine in two sites by double knot for forming soft container; providing cut between knots and discharging container on field or into vehicle. Combine has rotor-type grinder for picking up windrows and preliminary grinding, and additional grinding mechanism provided with shear and cutting knives. Additional grinding mechanism is positioned between screw and pressing auger. Feed is delivered from additional grinding mechanism into flexible hose. Hose is bound in two sites with double knot so that soft container is formed. Soft container is delivered onto field or into vehicle. Mentioned operations are carried out in field on single combine.
