FIELD: pharmacology and cancer treatment. SUBSTANCE: invention provides compositions and methods for transporting liposome aerosols with small-size particles to respiratory tract of subject in need of such treatment by way of inhaling aqueous dispersions of liposomes bearing anticancer drugs, in particular taxol-A, 2-S-campotecin, 9-nitrocampotecin, 9-aminocampotecin, or 10,11-methylenedioxy-campotecin in concentrations not exceeding 5.0 mg/ml, indicted liposome further containing lipid, namely dilauroyl-phosphatidylcholin at weight ratio to active ingredient from 1:1 to 200:1.
