Proposed pneumatic tire with H/S within 0.3 and 0.8 contains carcass and quazi-cylindrical ridge placed over carcass. Carcass is provided with strengthening member formed by elements nonstretchable in circular direction installed between point of contact of wheel rim and point of maximum axial width of carcass. Carcass inflated on rim has profile consisting of four arcs of circumference in meridional section. EFFECT: increased strength of tire, reduced resistance to wheel rolling. 9 cl, 3 dwg
