FIELD: tyre industry; tyres for heavy duty vehicles. SUBSTANCE: tyre has carcass formed by at least one layer of radial cord threads and rib reinforcement formed at least by one layer of supporting members of circular quasicylindrical form. Supporting circular members consist of main metallic and non-stretchable cord threads with minimum cross and radial dimensions equal to 0.09 of square root of value of circumradius R of layer whose fill factor is not less than 0.7 and over which rubber element is placed in radial direction. This rubber element features high modulus of elongation and has cross-section in form of half-moon. EFFECT: increased wear resistance of tyres. 9 cl, 4 dwg
