FIELD: devices for well pipes connection. SUBSTANCE: mechanical wrench has body with holder, rotary pinion with side aperture, pipe-holding device with jaw-type holder. Rotary pinion is connected to driving device by means of two intermediate pinions. One of two support roller groups comprises rollers, fixed inside the body in contact with outer surface of rotary pinion, while another group comprises rollers, fixed in the rotary pinion or the jaw-type holder. Additional group of support rollers pivotally mounted in pairs to the body in portion of intermediate pinions is capable of coming into contact with the inside surface of rotary pinion or jaw-type holder. Each pair of support rollers in the additional group may be connected to the body either by means of balancer, pivotally connected to holder on the body, or by means of resilient joint, mounted between the balancer and the holder.
