FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed rotary piston engine whose operating volume is formed by epitrochoidal surface of stator, two side covers and rotor with triheadral surface, cavity in each face and rib in each cavity and is furnished with spark plug with one electrode installed on smaller axis of epitrochoid. Ribs in combustion chamber of rotor serve as second electrode. Rib starts front edge of cavity and terminates behind axis of symmetry of rotor in direction of rear edge of cavity. Upper part of rib is provided teeth which can be made pointed in direction to tooth point. Curve enveloping points of teeth at projecting onto plane of rotation of rotor does not coincide with face of rotor. Spark plug is installed so that its central electrode is dipped through value exceeding elongation of electrode at heating. EFFECT: reduced toxicity of exhaust gases, and consumption of fuel and nonuniformity of rotation of eccentric shaft at idling or near idling speeds. 3 dwg
