ROTARY ENGINE AND CAM SHAFT Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC F02B55/02 F01C1/22 F01C17/06 F16C3/18

Abstract RU 2418180 C1

FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: proposed engine comprises housing with working chamber made up of a cylinder with oval (epitrochoidal) side surface. Cam shaft is arranged along working chamber axis. Rotor represents triangular prism with cylindrical mounting space mage along chamber axis to receive camshaft cam. Rotor is fitted in said working chamber on camshaft cam to run thereon. With camshaft running, transfer mechanism allows continuous sliding of rotor prism three edges, parallel to rotor axis and provided with sealing elements, along epitrochoidal surface to produce three variable-volume combustion chambers and allow "three-to-one" ratio between rotor revolution period and camshaft revolution period. One of transfer mechanism elements is fixed relative to rotor while another one is fixed relative to housing.

EFFECT: reduced toxicity of exhaust gases, longer life, higher power and efficiency.
