FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed electromagnetic fuel injector for internal combustion engines contains hollow housing with injection chamber connected with fuel pipe delivering fuel under pressure, injection nozzle located on hollow housing and connected with injection chamber, adjusting rod made for axial movement in hollow housing for opening and closing of nozzle, and metering valve furnished with adjusting chamber defined by end face surface of rod. Part of adjusting rod is directed by support part located on one end of cylindrical space. Adjusting chamber is provided with calibrated intake fuel pipe parallel to axis of adjusting rod and connected with delivery fuel pipe. Adjusting chamber has calibrated outlet fuel pipe installed radially relative to axis of adjusting rod and connected with outlet chamber for excess fuel. Fuel pressure in said adjusting chamber acting onto end face surface, usually keeps adjusting rod in closed position closing the nozzle, shutoff member controlled by armature of electromagnet for opening outlet fuel pipe. Adjusting rod is provided with ring which rests on shoulder of cylindrical space at opening of outlet fuel pipe. EFFECT: provision of simple and reliable design of injector easy to install and connect. 7 cl, 6 dwg
