FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves forming earth dams in upper part of gully so that central part of dams is extending along flow line; orienting central part of earth dams in direction coinciding with direction of local horizontal; forming upper edge of lowest part of earth dam at the level higher than bases of central and end parts of earth dams; forming intermittent side earth dams; extending end parts of earth dams into forest strips by distance equal to at least two thirds of their width. EFFECT: reduced water erosion of soil and increased moisture capacity of forest crops. 4 cl, 1 dwg
