METHOD TO PRODUCE ONE-PHASE VITREOUS MATERIAL OF A SUBSTANCE OF A NON-STOICHIOMETRIC COMPOSITION Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2224725 C1

FIELD: production of one-phase vitreous material of a substance of a non-stoichiometric composition. SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a method of production of one-phase vitreous material of a substance of a non-stoichiometric composition. The method is realized in the electrochemical column intended for realization of a substance depletion process. The substance depletion process is carried out in the electrochemical column at application of a stationary electric field to the being in conjugation with a conductor of the 1st kind melt of a stoichiometric composition, in which removal onto or into a conductor of the 1st kind, recovery up to a condition of an atom and change of concentration up to the given value of cations of typical (or a transition group) metals, relatively to the non-stationary and being the structural members in the melt, is exercised in process of pulling electrons away from the melt by the imposed electric field of the anode not contacting to the melt. Then the melt depleted by the typical (or a transition group) metals and having non-stoichiometric chemical composition is cooled with formation of a vitreous material of material of the substance of the non-stoichiometric composition for manufacture of articles produced in a glass industry, including the articles made out of the vitrocrystalline material and, besides with production of a metal deposited onto the conductor of the 1st kind in the process of depletion. In the process of depletion, superposition of an electric field is exercised by means of a system consisting of the melt limited by solid walls, that do not hinder entry of the field and the anode inserted in the melt, in which during the running process a volumetric positive charge is accumulated. Summation of the acting potential of the anode charge with the melt charge potential increases correspondingly the strength of electric field superimposed on a non-contacting with the system melt prepared to change concentration of non-stationary cations of typical (or a transition group) metals. Action in the depletion process of the imposed electric field is supplemented with a non-stationary magnetic field present in a system with the anode of the glass forming multicomponent melt, that is polarized by own, stored in the anodic process, volumetric electric charge and due to polarization of containing the ordered structures radiating the changed magnetic flux in time with origination of EMF in the melt not contacting with the system and prepared to change the concentration of the above mentioned non-stationary cations. EFFECT: the invention allows to produce one-phase vitreous material of a substance of a non-stoichiometric composition. 30 cl, 3 dwg
