FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: procedure measuring geometrical parameters of extended object by video camera with relative linear movement of object and camera is realized with orientation of case of video camera around its longitudinal axis with respect to nominal position through angle of 90 degrees during which lines of two-dimensional sweep in image of video camera are perpendicular to direction of movement of object. Optical axis of video camera is oriented perpendicular to line of movement of object and relative to plane of horizon by 20-25 degrees with lens upwards and on object with processing of results by computer. Measurements are conducted at same time by second video camera placed in symmetry with first video camera relative to vertical plane crossing center of extended object in point of measurement lengthwise. Additional independent movements of video cameras along vertical and horizontal directions are carried out in case of bending of extended object. EFFECT: high-accuracy measurement of geometrical parameters of curvilinear extended object. 20 dwg
