FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: proposed acoustic unit has sound guide made in the form of tube that houses electroacoustic transducer on its upper end. Electroacoustic transducer is mounted on holder made of sound-absorbing material in the form of truncated cone whose section faces lower end of sound guide. In addition electroacoustic transducer is disposed in cone section plane. Holder is made so that reflected ultrasonic pulses propagating within range limited by length of electroacoustic transducer could be incident on the latter and remaining ultrasonic pulses incident on side surfaces of holder could be reflected from them upwards to keep them away from electroacoustic transducer. EFFECT: reduced impact of noise onto measurement accuracy of device. 7 cl, 4 dwg
