FIELD: instruments. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to liquid level indicators operating by measuring parameters of sound waves passing along waveguide and reflected from surface of liquid. Device has housing, acoustical electric transducer is used. Acoustic waveguide is made in form of tube or separate tubes being connected to device housing by coupling. Acoustic matching unit with space is found inside coupling between diaphragm of acoustical electric transducer and inlet hole of waveguide. Space of acoustic matching unit is connected with waveguide space by means of diaphragm with channel. Housing of acoustical electric transducer is connected to device housing through damping element. In other design version, end of acoustic waveguide is connected with intermediate waveguide of L-shaped or T- shaped configuration. EFFECT: provision of acoustic matching in air of acoustic electric transducer and waveguide, improved accuracy of measurements. 22 cl, 6 dwg
