METHOD FOR TREATING TUMOR PLEURITIS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, oncology. SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with metastatic pleuritis in case of malignant tumors of different localization. The method includes intrapleural injection of antitumor preparations. Patient's autoblood is sampled at the quantity of 100-150 ml into sterile vial with hemoconservant to be centrifuged at ν_rot being 1500 rot./min for 30 min, 20 ml supernatant plasma is taken to solve there a single dose of cytostatic and incubate at 37C for 30 min. The rest cellular part and plasma should be reinfused. Under local anesthesia one should puncture pleural cavity, maximum evacuate pleural exudates and introduce prepared autoplasma with cytostatic intrapleurally. This procedure should be repeated if necessary. The present innovation provides low toxicity of chemopreparations and low cost of therapy due to applying modified properties of autoplasma.
