FIELD: heat-insulation materials. SUBSTANCE: preparation of foamed diatomite raw meal comprises providing homogenized mixture of diatomite, sawdust, and water, providing foaming agent and foam followed by stirring homogenized mixture with foam, on condition that, before homogenized mixture is provided, diatomite is ground to particle size no larger than 5 mm and proportioned on the basis of 33-34% of the weight of raw meal; sawdust is preliminarily crushed and screened through mesh no larger than 5 x 5 mm and proportioned on the basis of 3% of the weight of dry diatomite; foaming agent is provided on the basis of 0.15- 0.25% of the weight of raw meal by mixing water and extract, the latter being preheated to 50-80 C and based on glue, molten colophony, and water. Homogenized mixture is stirred during 10-12 min with foam prepared by shaking up foaming agent. EFFECT: lowered temperature shrinkage in manufacture of molded building products and increased their strength. 1 dwg
