FIELD: fire-prevention equipment for mining industry. SUBSTANCE: device has body with dead end wall, on which gas generator with nozzles and outlet opening on opposite body side is fixed coaxially to the body. Inhibitor is placed inside the body being isolated from environment. Perpendicular to longitudinal axis of inhibitor front and back support grates are mounted for dividing body on sections. Section of gas generator is separated from section of inhibitor by back support grate combined with discrete membrane. Inhibitor is placed in section of body between front and back support grates. In the body, insert made from easily destructible material and bushing made capable of moving in the body may be placed for inhibitor mounting facilitation. Front support grate may be combined with discrete membrane. Front support grate is distanced from outlet opening for distance L. Length of section adjacent to outlet opening relation to diameter D is defined by ratio 0.2≤L/D≤0.5. Relation of total area of gas generator nozzles cross-sections Sc to total area of openings in back support grate Sp may be defined by condition 0.025≤Sc/Sp≤0.2. In individual cases back support grate is made with openings that may be overlapped with end caps.
