FIELD: food engineering, in particular, coffee making devices. SUBSTANCE: coffee making unit has coffee making device provided with front part incorporating means for controlling coffee making process and pouring ready coffee. Front panel has opening. Front part of coffee making device occupies only part of kitchen cabinet and is made as integral part of front surface of kitchen equipment. Coffee unit has zone adapted for accommodation of other objects, such as coffee cups etc, in remaining part of front panel opening. Said zone is preferably arranged in the vicinity of coffee making device and equipped with vertical departments. Coffee making device is made compact and is positioned on retractable device. At least part of said zone may be heated. EFFECT: increased efficiency, provision for building of coffee unit into kitchen equipment to provide for convenient usage, and simplified construction. 16 cl, 3 dwg
