FIELD: medicine, dermatology, pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to composition used for stimulation of skin melanin pigment and designated for treatment of vitiligo and can be used for treatment of any skin depigmentation. Method for preparing the composition used for stimulation of melanin pigment synthesis involves the following stages: grinding placenta tissue, maceration with ethanol, filtration, treatment with saturated solution of benzoic acid in ethanol and distilled water and with acetone also, dissolving the component in alcohol comprising from 0.2 to 4.0 mg/ml of calcium chloride, and filtration through column with Sephadex. Fractions corresponding to the second protein peak from 20 to 150 g/ml are collected, lyophilized and the component is dissolved in 50% spirituous solution containing CaCl₂ taken in the concentration from 0.2 to 4.0 mg/ml. The composition used for stimulation of melanin pigment synthesis comprises 50% human placenta extract. The end component can be prepared by easy method, its useful in application, it doesn't exhibit toxic effect, it recoveries skin pigmentation rapidly after onset of treatment and ceasing in its application doesn't result to relapses.
