FIELD: plastic metal working. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of shaping corrugations on tube mounted on stationary mandrel by means of rollers arranged around lengthwise axis of tube for applying along axis of tube axial effort and torque coinciding with tube rotation direction; applying axial effort and torque to tube at side of motion of tube part towards working zone by distance determined according to condition of tube stability at axial compression of it. Mandrel is mounted rigidly. It is possible to apply to corrugated portion of tube axial effort along direction of tube motion or opposite relative to said direction.
