FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: device is designed for converting energy of air flow in vertical pipe into electric energy. Proposed device contains vertically installed housing with inner variable-section channel, widening in upper and lower sections and narrowing in middle part. Middle part accommodates turbine connected with cylindrical rotor of electric generator which is either magnetic or is furnished with field winding. Turbine is provided with conical end piece in lower part. Inner channel is open from upper end face of housing, and holes are made in lower part of housing for air flow controlled by means of control system provided with electronic part for stabilizing parameters of electric current. Stator of electric generator consists of two cylindrical shells coaxially secured on housing at both sides of rotor and furnished with electric windings. Rotor is installed on magnetic suspension, magnetic pad of suspension being attached to housing under lower magnetic part of rotor and it has like polarity. Magnetic stops are installed in upper part of rotor and on housing. Protective cowl is installed for vertical displacement over upper end face of housing.
