FIELD: weapon systems with barrels. SUBSTANCE: this group of inventions is related to field of elements of firearm, namely, to muzzle attachments and technique of release of gunpowder gas from bore that can find use in weapon systems with barrels and in design of devices for such systems. Characteristic feature of technique for release gunpowder gas from bore of firearm consists in whirling of gas stream as it travels in direction from muzzle face around axis of bore to ensure monotone rise of tangential velocity of gas stream letting this stream pass through guiding ducts of muzzle attachment. Essence of second objective of invention, namely muzzle attachment, lies in that elements having helical surfaces are arranged with step descending towards direction of projectile to form helical ducts in assemblage with internal surface of body. Inlets to these ducts communicate with outlet from bore and their outlets communicate with inlet to discharge duct. EFFECT: improved characteristics of firing and interaction of gunpowder gas with projectile when it leaves bore 16 cl, 1 dwg .
